Our History

Founded with the goal of addressing the growing training needs within the European educational landscape, EBB began its journey by supporting teachers and schools in managing Erasmus+ projects. Over the years, we have expanded our training offer, collaborating with prominent partners such as Europass Teacher Academy to develop high-quality courses focused on professional development and cultural exchange.

Our staff

Francesco Molinari

Director
Francesco is the director of European Education Hub Berlin, where he also brings his expertise as an EU project writer and trainer to life. With a strong background in innovative teaching strategies, cultural heritage education, and German vocational training (Dual System), Francesco is deeply immersed in advancing education. Holding a university degree in Classical Philology and Romance Languages and Literatures, Francesco has extensive experience developing and leading Erasmus+ international mobility projects, strategic partnerships, policy reform initiatives, and professional learning experiences across Germany. Passionate about empowering educators, Francesco is committed to fostering dynamic teaching approaches and strengthening the role of teachers as innovators in education.

Ada Rigacci

Trainer and manager of European projects
Ada is a trainer and instructional designer at European Education Hub Berlin, specializing in managing Erasmus+ projects focusing on student mobility. Her expertise encompasses new teaching methodologies, classroom and conflict management, as well as active and cooperative learning. Ada holds a university degree in Classical Philology and is passionate about sharing innovative teaching ideas. Driven by a love for connecting with people, Ada is dedicated to helping educators make a meaningful impact in their classrooms.

Sabrina Muratore

Executive director and manager of European projects
Sabrina is the Executive Director and EU Project Manager at European Education Hub Berlin. She oversees the coordination of educational projects and handles all administrative tasks related to the Center’s operations and strategic development. With a university degree in Foreign Languages and International Communication, Sabrina has experience managing international projects, developing training materials, and training teachers. Driven by a passion for influencing learning processes, Sabrina focuses on implementing, testing, and managing innovative educational programs that make a tangible impact.

Melissa Galia

Head trainer and center manager
Melissa is the Head Trainer and Center Manager at European Education Hub Berlin, where she combines her expertise in training and instructional design with overseeing the Center’s team and daily operations. Specialized in diversity and inclusion, wellbeing, soft skills development, executive leadership, entrepreneurship, innovative teaching methodologies, educational technologies (including AI for education), and sustainable development education, Melissa holds a university degree in Business and Social Sciences, a Master’s in Management of Social Innovation, Human Rights, and Sustainability, and a Master’s in Educational Psychology for Inclusion. Additionally, she is a certified PCC Coach. With experience leading and facilitating global programs within the United Nations and other international organizations, Melissa is passionate about creating an inclusive and empowering educational environment. She thrives on fostering growth through collective support and encouraging learners to challenge their boundaries.

Patrick Antipof 

Berlin Guide
Born in Hemel Hempstead, England, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Portsmouth. Passionate about history and trivia, he loves sharing fascinating facts and stories with as many people as possible, turning every experience into a chance for discovery. A huge admirer of Berlin, he delights in introducing the city and its unique character to newcomers, making each visit a memorable experience. Constantly curious and eager to learn, he embraces new adventures with energy and enthusiasm, always ready to explore new and exciting horizons.

Barbara Distefano

Researcher, trainer, project manager and PR
Barbara is an EU-funded researcher, trainer, and public relations manager at Europass Berlin, where she designs and delivers training courses and contributes to EU projects and curriculum development. Her areas of expertise include digital humanities, cultural heritage education, school archives, decolonial and plurilingual education, innovative teaching methodologies and educational technologies. She has been awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship for WRICHERS, a research project that explores the teaching careers of well-known writers who also worked in education. Barbara holds a degree in modern languages, a Master’s in Philology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and a PhD in Literature and Education. She is also a certified expert in Italian language didactics and in project writing. Her career spans roles as a university lecturer, teacher trainer, e-learning designer, journalist, content writer, humanities teacher, language instructor, and PLIDA examiner. Barbara is driven by a dual mission: empowering teachers and enhancing their public perception as creative and impactful professionals, and bridging schools and universities through pedagogical innovation.

Sebastiano Bollani

Berlin Guide
Sebastiano is an Art & Heritage Educator based in Berlin. He designs and leads guided visits, workshops and educational activities for groups with diverse backgrounds, creating engaging experiences with art, history and cultural heritage. He communicates cultural heritage and contemporary art as a tool to understand the past and present, as a method to explore the future. He creates dynamic, interactive learning experiences that make cultural sites accessible and inspiring.

Anita de Lucia

Teacher trainer and student support 
Born in Massa, Italy, he holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Italian and German Studies from the University of Pisa and the Humboldt University of Berlin. He further specialized in language teaching through the CEDILS Certification for teaching Italian as a foreign language at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He has gained extensive experience in education, working as a Humanities teacher in Italian secondary schools and as a Foreign Language Assistant in secondary schools in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. In addition, he has taught Italian as a foreign language to adult learners at community education centres and at the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin. Passionate about language, culture, and education, he strives to create engaging, dynamic, and meaningful learning experiences, inspiring students of all ages and backgrounds to connect with Italian language and culture in a personal and enriching way.
